DESENS, Byron D., - age 62 of Linden, died Wednesday, August 15th, 2012 at the V.A. Hospital in Grand Rapids. No formal services will be held at this time. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. Byron was born March 17, 1950 to Leonard and Elnora (Krieser) Desens in Clintonville, Wisconsin. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Byron married Chong in Clintonville, Wisconsin on December 12, 1971. He and his wife moved to Michigan in 1980. He was a lover of the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his dogs. Surviving are his wife; Chong of 40 years, daughter; Katie (John) Bonasse of Linden, grandchildren; Dominic, Michaila, and Nathan, and his four sisters and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the staff at the V.A. Hospital in Saginaw for their excellent care and support.
