Breece, Burton Wayne, Of Davison, MI, age 95, died Good Friday, April 2, 2021. Visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 7 at Sharp Funeral Home, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507. A private funeral service will be held, Rev. Thomas Wachterhauser officiating, and can be viewed live stream at 12 p.m. Thursday April 8 on Mr. Breece's page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Burial will be Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Helena Township Cemetary, Alden, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributons to Davison United Methodist Church. Burton was born in Flint, Michigan on September 1, 1925, the son of Clyde Jay Breece and Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Breece. Burton served his country proudly during WWII. He volunteered for the US Army Air Force on November 5, 1943, serving until honorably discharged April 10, 1946. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Flint, Michigan, and affiliated with Davison United Methodist Church. He married Mary Anne Brewer on July 15, 1961. He worked at AC Spark Plug Division, General Motors, in the Engineering Research and Development Lab, for 37 years and retired in 1986. Burton (W8RGA) was an amateur radio operator (ham) and a member of the Genesee County Radio Club. He enjoyed conversations with ham radio operators all over the world, and participated with the Radio Club in their public emergency services. He coached his church softball team, and enjoyed many years of league bowling. Burton was happiest spending time with his family and his children, working outdoors in his yard, and enjoying life at his cottage at Torch Lake. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; children: Wayne (Maryellen) Breece, David Breece, Bethany Hall, Jeffrey (Michele) Breece, Christopher M. Breece, and Michael (Brenda) Breece; grandchildren: Jillian (Robert) Mackey, Christopher E. (Sarah) Breece, Kathryn Hall, Colton Hall, Micah Breece, Malachi Breece, Mason Breece, Macintyre Breece, Madell Breece, and Makaragan Breece; great-granddaughters: Madison Mackey, Charlotte Mackey, Vienna Breece and Brielle Breece. He is also survived by six nieces, one nephew, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, “Jay” and “Lizzie” Breece, his brother, Neil Breece, and his sister, Betty Elizabeth (Breece) Lockrey. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
