Bruce Steinhaus

STEINHAUS, Bruce Stanley - age 71, of Flint, died Monday, December 5, 2016 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, December 9, 2016 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint with Rev. Fr. Thomas Firestone celebrant. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a scripture service will be held at 7 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or the St. Luke New Life Center. Mr. Steinhaus was born August 7, 1945 in Flint, the son of Charles Milton and Alice Mae (Earns) Steinhaus. He attended Guston and Beecher Schools in Mt. Morris Twp and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Steinhaus married Judy Skoda on July 2, 1966. Mr. Steinhaus retired from General Motors Buick after 32 years of service in the Foundry and Plant 81. He was a long-time member of St. Luke Catholic Church and sang in the choir for 25 years. He and his wife were volunteers at St. Luke New Life Center. Mr. Steinhaus was a car lover, member of the Buick Club of America and restored 1961-1963 Skylark Buick Specials. Surviving are: wife of 50 years, Judy; daughter, Amy Lynn (Rick) Croteau; grandchildren Richard Hall, Jr., Andrea (Matt) Wright, Tiffany Croteau and finance, Jacob Pomroy, Steven Croteau, Kathryn Croteau, David Croteau and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Donovan, Payton and Oliver (who's on his way); brother, Charles (Kay) Steinhaus of Breckenridge, MI; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Steinhaus; son, Bruce Stanley Stienhaus, Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Suetta and Ralph Lee.
