Bruce Allen SHIELDS

SHIELDS, Bruce Allen -- The World's Best Husband, Papa and Dad. Age 64 of Swartz Creek, died March 14, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 5PM Sunday, March 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Deacon O'Dette Officiating. Visitation will be 1PM until the time of service Sunday. Bruce was born October 8, 1949 in Arkansas, the son of Frank and Marie (Frasier) Shields. He married Diana Alfaro in Flint on February 11, 1987. Bruce worked at General Motors for 39 years as a crane operator, retiring in 2006. Bruce was known as the "Lawn mower man". Surviving are: wife, Diana Alfaro Shields; 3 sons Bruce (Terry), William (Tiffany), Manuel ( Kathy); 2 daughters, Winnie ( Steven), Julia (Andrew); 13 grandchildren; siblings, Jim Shields, Mike Shields, Pamela Rose; best friend Al Lovejoy and the entire Alfaro Family.
