Bruce Sage

SAGE, Bruce J. - age 81, of Durand, died Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Brian's House Hospice. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brian's House Hospice. Mr. Sage was born January 10, 1927 in Flint, the son of Leonard and Elizabeth Jane (Johnston) Sage. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp serving during World War II. Mr. Sage married Arline (Boursaw) Pfeiffer on March 18, 1998. He retired from Complete Auto Transit as a truck driver after 40 years of service and was a member of the Teamsters. Mr. Sage enjoyed golfing and bowling. He was blessed with the gifts of a great sense of humor and a positive outlook on life. Surviving are: loving wife, Arline of Durand; five children, Grant (Lynne) Sage, Susan, Brad Sage, Vern Sage and Kelli; four step-children, Larry (Pat), Dave (Berneice) and Brian (Carolyn) Pfeiffer, Shari (George) Espinoza; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews, also survive.
