Bruce Nyland

NYLAND, Bruce Arthur - age 75 of Grand Blanc died December 9, 2022. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Bruce was born March 3, 1947, in Flint, the son of Arthur Junior and Vera Mae (Perry) Nyland. He was a 1965 graduate of Grand Blanc High School and a 1968 graduate of Grand Valley State College. Bruce married Christine Pearson on March 9, 1968, and she preceded him in death on November 6, 2007. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving in the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged as a Captain. Bruce was co-owner of his family business Perry Printing for many years. He enjoyed boating, flying, fly-fishing and was a member of the Flint Arrowhead Barbershop Chorus. Surviving are daughter, Nadia Nyland of Grand Blanc; granddaughter, Emma Jones; great-granddaughter, Ruby Lorenz; five siblings, Jan Nyland of Grand Blanc, Chris (Leslie) Nyland of Charlevoix, Greg (Randy) Nyland of Grand Blanc, Diane Nyland (Jim Enos) of Florida, and Jeff (Noeletta) Nyland of Oxford; many nieces and nephews.
