May 17, 1950 — September 5, 2006

LUCK, Bruce Robert - age 56, of Flint, died Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Brad Lake officiating. Interment will be held in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc where military honors will be preformed under the auspices of VFW Chevrolet Post # 3087. Visitation will be held from 6-9 PM Thursday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family. Bruce was born May 17, 1950 in Flint, the son of Harold and Cleo (Green) Luck. He was proud to serve his country enlisting in the U.S. Air Force and serving during the Vietnam Conflict and was a member of VFW Chevrolet Post #3087. Bruce married Marie Trussell on December 10, 1976. He was a graduate of Carmen High School, class of 1969. He received an associate's degree from Mott Community College in 1982. Bruce retired from General Motors Truck and Bus in October 2000 after 31 years of service. He was a hardworking family man with a strong love for his family. The love and guidance of his 2 grandmother's molded him to the family man that he had become. Bruce also enjoyed traveling, country music and had a passion for classic cars, especially his 1963 Chevy Bel-Air. He had a keen interest for pets and a knack for debate. Surviving are: wife, Marie; two sons, Wayne and Nick Luck, all of Flint; brother, Mike Luck; sister, Ramona Brown; father-in-law, Cecil Trussell; brother-in-law, Michael (Susan) Trussell; sister-in-law, Maureen Trussell of Flint; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by: his mother in 1997 and his father in 2004. The family would like to thank Dr. K. Vermuri, Dr. Saha, and all the doctors, nurses and staff of McLaren ICU for their special care. The family extends a special thank you to the Crain and Bartes families for their gift of love that allowed them to be a family.
