FOWLER, Bruce Allen - age 73, of Fenton, died February 10, 2021. A private graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Fenton First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deacon's Fund at Fenton First Presbyterian Church, 503 S. Leroy St., Fenton, MI 48430. Bruce was born November 13, 1947 in Flint, the son of Harold A. and Ruby (Schwartz) Fowler. He was a 1966 graduate of Fenton High School where he was on the football, wrestling and weightlifting teams. Bruce served in the United States Army from 1970-1973. During his service he worked as a laboratory technician at Fort Ord, California and was also a lab tech and medic at a drug testing facility for three months in Vietnam. He married Peggy Wagner on January 22, 1977 and in 2021 celebrated 44 years of marriage. He was a graduate of University of Michigan and retired from the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse in the Health Screening Department. Bruce also served as an EMT in Flint, served on the National Ski Patrol and was active in the Boy Scouts of America program. Throughout all of Bruce's life, he was always concerned with helping others in their time of need. Surviving are: wife, Peggy; brother, Harold "Bob" Fowler and wife, Debbie; brother-in-law, Paul Wagner and wife, Kelly; nieces and nephews, Steven (Robin) Fowler, Karen Fowler, Ben (Erica) Wagner, Rebecca Wagner, and Sam Wagner.
