DIMOND, Bruce McKinley "Elvis" - Age 68, of Flint, died Monday, October 12, 2020. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial immediately following in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 1-9 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Bruce McKinley Dimond Memorial Fund.
Bruce was born November 27, 1951 in Flint, the son of Virgil and Eva Dimond. He was a 1969 graduate of Beecher High School. He married Helen Donna Minier August 5, 1972 in Flint and she preceded him in death September 24, 2018. He retired from the Teamsters Local #332 as a truck driver. Bruce was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters. He also was a member of the Kearsley Athletics Boosters. He most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are: 3 children, Scott Dimond, Wendy Smith (Sam Wolcott), and Tammy Tracy all of Davison; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Pat, Pamela Jean, and Katrina; sisters-in-law, Eileen Minier and Sherry (Bob) Bell; special friends, Mark and Mary Borton; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Dennis Brooks; daughter, Vicki O'Brien; brother, Bud Dimond. A special thanks to the McLaren-Flint ICU nurses. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
