Bruce Benedict

Benedict, Bruce Earl - Age 76, of Swartz Creek, died November 6, 2015 in Florida. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, November 13 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Private interment in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 4-7 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Bruce was born January 15, 1939 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Albert Benedict and Ruth (Caswell) Benedict. He married Barbara Glanton on August 31, 1957 in Flint. Bruce retired from GM with 35 years of service. He worked as a journeyman die maker and Superintendent of Tool and Die at Flint Metal Center. He and Barbara spent winters in Florida. He enjoyed golfing, riding Harleys, and most of all his grandkids and great-grandkids. Surviving are: wife of 58 years Barbara; three sons, Richard (Nan) of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Brian (Tammy) of Goodrich, Mark (Barb) of Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren, Danielle (Andrew) Benson, Lauren (Josh) Kuzimski, Brennen, Trenton and Tessa Benedict, Piper and Aidan Benedict; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Landon Benson; sister Sally (Larry) Wheaton.
