Bruce Bakke

BAKKE, Bruce Lyle - Age 84, of Flushing, died Friday September 17, 2021. Funeral services will be held 12PM Wednesday, September 22, at United in Christ Lutheran Church, 6330 Corunna Road, Flint. Pastor Stephen Stahlhut officiating. Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly at a later date. Visitation will be held 10AM Wednesday until time of service at the church. Bruce was born June 3, 1937 in Flint, the son of Roscoe Nelson and Ida Ethel (Amundson) Bakke. He married Carol Avery in Flint on October 25, 1958. Bruce proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for General Motors. Buick Division for 17 years and retired from Wix - Dana Filter Corporation with 30 years of service. Bruce enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and reading sci-fi books. Surviving are: wife of 62 years, Carol Bakke of Flushing; daughter, Karen Amore of Canton.
