Broad St. Linden with Rev. Jim Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linden. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Sunday and 9 AM - 9 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Brenda Hamp Memorial Fund. Brenda was born December 23, 1948 in Ionia, MI, the daughter of Tom and Georgia (Wright) Rose. She was a 1967 graduate of Kearsley High School. She had attended Flint Barber College and had worked as a barber at the Windmill Place, was a partner in CC & Company in Fenton and had also worked at Mr. B's and Vescio Grocery. Brenda was the most thoughtful, compassionate and unselfish person that touched the lives of so many people. She was the happiest when helping others and seeing her family together. Untimely she lost her fight with a rare disease called Amyloidosis but continued to stay positive to the very end. Even in the bleakest hours, she would always say 'it could be worse' and then she would smile. She was the definition of a great human being and will be missed immensely. Left behind are: two sons, Aaron Hamp and Tyler Reid; boyfriend, Danny Reid; mother Georgia Rose; sisters, Cindy (Ed) Breeding, Cheryl (Dutch) West and Penny (Dallas) Robinson; brothers, Jimmy (Diane) Hanna and Tom (Sharon) Rose; many close nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She was preceded in death by: her father, Arnold 'Tom' Rose; brother-in-law, James McAberns. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
