BURKE, Brenda Lee - Age 50, of Apopka, FL, formerly of Flint, died August 31, 2007. A memorial service will be held 6 PM Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint (Grand Blanc Twp.) Rev. Jane Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Brenda was born March 13, 1957 in Flint, the daughter of Leslie L. and Catherine L. (Burd) Brown. She attended Rankin Elementary School, Mandeville Junior High School, and Ainsworth High School. She married Roger Burke in December, 1974. Brenda was a T-Ball coach, and was very active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and other school activities. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, camping and crafting. She worked for Seminole County, Florida. She is survived by her husband, Roger; sons, Courtney (Alicia) Burke and Aaron Burke; granddaughters, Alonna Burke and Ciera Burke, all of Apopka, FL; father, Leslie Brown of Grand Blanc; mother, Catherine Brown of Davison; brother, Charles (Sandra) Brown of Oscoda; sisters, Pamela (Clyde) Cunningham of Vassar, Susan (Kirk) Alderson of Linden, Sally Johnson of Flint, Bethany Brown of Linden; mother-in-law, Nadine (Burke) and husband Donald Griffen of Davison; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Maitland and Laura Burd, Earl and Gertrude Brown; aunt, Mary Webb.
