Bradford Gusie

March 5, 1959 — February 28, 2017

GUSIE, Bradford Carl "Brad"- Age 57, of Flint Township, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 with his family by his side. While enjoying one of his passions, Brad suffered critical injuries from a ski accident. Visitation will be held 10 AM - 12 Noon Saturday, March 4, followed by a service at 12 Noon at the Davison Methodist Church, 207 E. Third St., Davison. Brad was born March 5, 1959 in Flint, the son of Carl and Bonnie (Finch) Gusie. He was a truck driver for Thompson IG and a licensed realtor. Brad filled every season of the year with hunting, kayaking, camping, and skiing. He could be found sighting in his bow for archery and hunting, waxing his skis, preparing the camper, or tinkering around the house. He was a man of many talents. If it needed fixing, he could do it. Brad was an old time rock and roll fan and somehow got turned on to country music. If you were fortunate enough to know him you loved him. His kind and gentle manner would put anyone at ease. Many said he was a quiet man until they struck up a conversation about skiing or hunting. Brad's biggest passions in life was his family and friends. He could be found playing an Aggravation game with friends, sitting in his chair enjoying an afternoon nap, watching the Outdoors channel, showing houses, or going to the movies. He took great pride in doing yard work. You could find him just riding around the yard making sure the grass was just the right height. He was a member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, and the Fenton Sportsmans Club. Brad adored his wife Amy, sons Ryan Gusie and Josh (Alison) Larkin, and his daughter Courtney (Dan) Lupu, father, Carl Gusie, and sister Wendy (Marc) Hunt-Joppich. Preceded in death by his grandparents, and mother, Bonnie Gusie. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
