Bonnie was born August 27, 1946 in Broseley, Missouri to Melvin and Amelia Vancil.
She was poised with a sweet and gentle nature. Graduated from Swartz Creek in 1964.
She married her sweetheart, David Crankshaw, on 12-11-1965 and they spent 55 wonderful years of marriage together. They lived in Germany when David was in the Army and visited Italy, Austria, Liechtenstein and France.
They raised three children in Swartz Creek. She stayed busy as a PTA mom, sports and Job's Daughters with the children. She enjoyed bowling with friends and worked at Sargent's Title. They relocated to a peaceful lake up north which holds memories of the grandchildren learning to swim, playing in the sand and catching some monster bass. Many nights were spent roasting marshmallows around campfires and hours upon hours in the woods.
Bonnie’s whole world revolved around her family. She took pride in her beautiful home and kept it clean as can be. Her family was her everything and she loved taking care of everyone. She adored her grandkids and was so proud of all of them. When she knew family was coming up to visit, she would jump right into cooking mode and cook up a storm for her loving family. The grand kids love sharing stories of who could eat the most french toast or "grammas famous goulash". She loved spending time in her yard, watching football, and cheered on each of her grandchildren at their sporting and school events. She enjoyed finding a good deal at thrift stores, taking day trips to casinos or just sitting on the sun porch and gazing at the lake with a cup of coffee. Memorial Contributions in Bonnie's Memory would be appreciated to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gary Vancil
