Bonita Franklin

Franklin, Bonita L. (Widdis) - age 70, of Flint, passed away January 28, 2022. A memorial service will be held 1PM Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Fountain of Grace Assembly of God, 2382 E. Mt. Morris Rd., Mt. Morris. Pastor Dean Gardner will officiate. Bonita was born April 23, 1951 in Highland Park, MI.

She loved and cared for her family and was a caregiver for her mother and a guardian to her niece, Bonnie. She retired from factory work many years ago. Her Christian faith was very important to her throughout her life, and she took an active role in her church. Teaching Sunday school, driving the church bus, participating in the community food outreach program, and providing support where there was need.

She is survived by her son, James D Widdis;  daughter, Carrie A Tideswell, and grandchildren Freya, Artemis and Olivia. Also survived and loved by nieces and nephews, Bonnie Widdis, Michael Parsons, Anna Widdis, Shannon Widdis, Steven Widdis Jr, in addition to several other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents,  Stewart John Widdis and Norma Jean Widdis (Lodwick) and siblings, Steven W. Widdis Sr., Howard B. Widdis and Lynne D. Merrill.
