SMITH, Bobby Joe - age 78, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, February 1, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. JD Landis officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Tuesday and 11-2 and 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Mr. Smith was born July 15, 1930 in Flint. He was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling. Surviving are: wife, Mary; eight children, Loraine Beymer, Gloria (Scott) Kirshman, Valerie (Dennis) Duncan, Claude (Carolyn) Smith, Vicki (David) Kenworthy, Pamela (Gary) Loder, Bradley (Susan) Emerick, Jeffrey Emerick; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Sharon; Juanita (Edwin) Bradley; special niece, Teresa Sharon.
