Bobby Higdon

Higdon, Bobby Roy - Age 86, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Minnesota. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 22, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Township. Pastor Pete Scribner officiating. Burial immediately following at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Bobby was born March 2, 1932 in Damascus, AR, the son of Roy and Nellie (Pavatt) Higdon. He married Glenna Mae Alumbaugh March 31, 1951 in Damascus, AR. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Bobby retired from the Mead Paper Company as a salesman. He was a member of the Flint Elks Lodge #222. He was an avid golfer and was a former member of Atlas Valley Country Club. Surviving are: his wife of 67 years, Glenna Mae; 3 children, Brenda and husband Scott Bye of Leesville, SC, Kenneth and wife Sherri Higdon of Minneapolis, MN, and Lisa and husband Nicholas Petroff of Ann Arbor; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brother, Bill Higdon of Swartz Creek; and several nieces and nephews.
