Bobby Boyd

BOYD, Bobby Leo - age 93, of Swartz Creek, passed away, May 5, 2021. Funeral Services will be 1 PM Monday, May 10, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 10:30 AM until the time of service. Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Bobby's memory would be appreciated to First Baptist Church of Swartz Creek.

Bob was born November 21, 1927 in Beech Grove, AR the son of Charlie and Nellie (Owens) Boyd. He married Dorothy Cole in Paragould, AR on October 25, 1947. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1947. He was employed as a Tool and Die Machinist with GM for 49 years, retiring in 1993. Bob was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Swartz Creek. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and enjoyed travel. Bob especially enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's events.

He is survived by: his children, Cindy (Bill) Kalush, and Kevin (Judy) Boyd; grandchildren, Chad Rider, Courtney (Wesley) Christman; several nieces and nephews.
