Billy Joe Fletcher

FLETCHER, Billy Joe  Age 76, of Swartz Creek and New Port Richey, FL died Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at his residence in Swartz Creek. Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Genesys Hospice. Mr. Fletcher was born May 17, 1928 in Campbell, MO, the son of Joseph A. and Della (Riddle) Fletcher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II as a paratrooper. Mr. Fletcher retired from General Motors in 1983 after 33 years of service. He was an avid golfer during his retirement. Surviving are: wife, Ivadell Fletcher of Swartz Creek/New Port Richey, FL; son, Walter Fletcher and wife, JoAnn of Swartz Creek; daughter, June Fletcher-Steede and husband, John Steede of Kernersville, NC; three grandchildren, Matthew Fletcher, Stacie Heavner, and Lauren Renwick.
