CHURCH, Billy G. - Age 79, of Linden & Fenton, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 15, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Kurtis Koffkey officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Billy was born May 14, 1935 in Leachville, AR the son of James W. and Hazel C. (Eubanks) Church. He was a 1953 graduate of Leachville High School and had attended Mott Community College. He married Virginia Miller July 3, 1956 in Leachville, AR. He retired in 1992 from GM Chevrolet after 30 1/2 years of service. Billy had resided in the Linden area for the past 52 years coming from Arkansas. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson. Surviving are: his wife of 58 years, Virginia; 3 daughters, Julia and husband Jim Ridenour of Fenton, Teresa Church of Fenton, and Regina and husband Jerry Parker of Swartz Creek; 4 grandchildren, Tyler Ridenour, Nicholas Parker, Joshua Ridenour, and Allison and husband Jordan Kamal; great grandson, Aiden Parker; sister, Bertha Mansell of Leachville, AR; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chalma and J.W. Church; and sisters, Justine Patterson, Velma Lewis, and Gladys Buck.
