Beverly Joyce Wood

WOOD, Beverly Joyce - Age 87, of Clio, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023.  Per Beverly's request cremation has taken place and no services will be held.  Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association.  

Beverly was born May 16, 1936 in Owosso, the daughter of Floyd and Bertha (Nelson) Barnes.  She was a 1954 graduate of Birch Run High School.  She married James Frederick Wood January 18, 1980 in Flint and he preceded her in death June 7, 2002.  She had resided in the Flint area most of her life.  Beverly retired from General Motors after 13 years of service.  She was a member of the Croatian Club and the Burton Eagles.  

Surviving are: her sons, Russell Hartwick of Chesaning, Alan (Tess) Hartwick of Corona, CA and Douglas (Kathy) Wood of Independence, MO; daughter-in-law, Sheila Mills of Clio; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Tony Hartwick; brothers, Dwayne, Donald, Kenneth, James and Lauren DeLong; sisters, Lorraine Conklin, Verla Roberts, Wanda Tkazcyk, Frances Ross and Madeline Miniar.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
