Beverly Scriven

SCRIVEN, Beverly Elaine (McCarthy) - Age 85, of Flint, died Saturday, February 29, 2020. Memorial gathering postponed  at this time.  Arrangements provided  Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Private interment will take place in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Salvation Army, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Heartland Hospice or ALS Association. Beverly was born on May 13, 1934, in Flint the daughter of James and Hattie (Dickinson) McCarthy. She graduated from Flint Northern. Beverly married William Scriven in Flint on June 21, 1951. In her free time, she enjoyed playing BINGO, going to the casino, sewing and crocheting. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Walter) Thompson, Peggy (Marty) Sweet and Rosemary (Warren) Amidon; son-in-law, Thermon Burns; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandson; 2 sisters; and several nieces and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, William Scriven; daughter, Veronica Burns; parents, James and Hattie McCarthy; and three sisters. Tributes may be shared at wwwsharpfuneralhomes.com.
