Beverly Feather

FEATHER, Beverly Ann (Mattingly) - Age 84, of Burton, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at McLaren -Flint. Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Minister Troy Postlethwait officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8PM Friday at the funeral home. Beverly was born on November 1, 1931 in Terra Alta, West Virginia to the late Earnest and Dorothy Mattingly. She moved to Michigan at an early age and was a graduate of Kearsley High School. Beverly went back to West Virginia to work for the summer where she met her future husband, Ward L. Feather, they married on July 2, 1950. She worked as a waitress at Scottie's, in the cafeteria at Atherton High School and at Clark Store Fixture. Beverly was a cake decorator extraordinaire, amateur photographer, cruise aficionado and loved showing her Mustang at car shows. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ward; Three daughters, Deborah Ann (Edward) Huckabee, Denise Lynn (Jerry) Rutherford, and Dawn Marie (Jack) Clark; seven grandchildren, Cathy (Joe) Nagy, Mike (Sarah) Huckabee, Tonya Ahrns (Phil), Fredrick Ahrns, Sean Rutherford (Amanda), Carrie Weaver (Dan) and Cassie Clark; seven great- grandchildren, Zachary, Amber, India Rain, Noah, Cooper, Wyatt, and Deklan; sister, Virginia Noah of TX; many nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law; and many friends. Beverly was also preceded in death by her brother, Ernie Mattingly; sister, JoAnn Paxton; The family would like to thank all the personnel at McLaren-Flint, especially her angel nurse Jessica Love.
