Etue, Beverly N. - Age 82, of Fenton formerly of Flint, died Friday, August 1, 2008, at Crestmont Healthcare Facility in Fenton. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11AM Monday, August 11, 2008 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held 12-7PM Sunday, with a Rosary service at 5PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor. Beverly was born June 6, 1926 in Oelwein, Iowa the daughter of the late Robert N. and Marguerite (Dwyer) McGee. She came to Flint in 1941 at the age of 15 and graduated from All Saints High School in 1944. Beverly was employed by the City of Flint Police Department as a detective for Hamady Brothers in the early 1960's. She was best known as Woman of the Year for Jackson National Life Insurance, where she had been employed for 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Flint Historical Society, Sloan Museum  and Cultural Center, and was a former member of St. Michaels in Flint. Beverly spent her later years living in Fenton, where she was awarded the Flower Beautification Award from the City of Fenton and attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton. Surviving are her daughter, Diane Etue Fitzpatrick of Fenton; son, Michael Thomas Etue of Australia; grandson, Michael Louis Fitzpatrick and wife, Courtney of Ann Arbor; granddaughter, Maggie Lynn Fitzpatrick and Joseph Fritz of Ann Arbor; great-grandsons, Samuel and Gabriel; brothers, Jack McGee and wife Betty of Grand Blanc; Patrick McGee and wife, Sophie of Bayview, formerly of Flint.
