Beverly Dzurak

DZURAK, Beverly Lee "Sam"-- Age 81, of Swartz Creek, died March 13, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday March 17 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Hal Phillips officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesee County Humane Society. Beverly was born March 24, 1936 in Mundy Township the daughter of Ora Rutherford Montague and Mabel Frances (Selden) Montague. She married Harry Baker on June 15, 1986 in Flint he preceded her in death on March 26, 2010. Beverly worked for Swartz Creek Community Schools as a Bus Driver and a Custodian retiring with 30 years of service. Beverly used to be called the "Dragon Lady" of Swartz Creek, collecting about 2500 Dragons over the years. She also collected Dolls and she loved to travel. She was very talented and gifted with creativity, she had a wonderful ability to imagine and create unique things. She is survived by her children, Dennis (Debbie) Schneider of Traverse City, Kevin (Cheryl) Dzurak of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Christine (Brian), Krystle, Shawna; great grandchildren, Sawyer and Brian; sister, Ruth Ann Schneider; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry; son, Gary; daughter, Patti Gordon; 2 brothers,Wendall and Larry Montague; brother-in-law Raymond Schneider; sisters, Doris Montague, Phyllis Lovejoy, Marlene Jones, and Lenora Elias.Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes
