Beverly Cooke

COOKE, Beverly Doreen - age 91, of Linden, died January 11, 2022. Beverly was born July 25, 1930 in Flint, the daughter of Irving and Ada (McPherson) Telford. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School in 1948. She married Stanley T. Cooke on October 22, 1949 and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2016. She spent summers on Higgins Lake since 1936 and moved there in 1988. Beverly was a member of Houghton Lake United Methodist Church and Linden United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, square dancing, golfing, and playing cards. Beverly was also a Past Queen of Job's Daughters and volunteered at Hurley Medical Center. Surviving are: three daughters, Diane (Mark) MacDermaid, Deborah (James) Sutton, Denise (Joel) Baird; nine grandchildren, Heather, Kevin, Ryan, Kyle, Addison, Andrew, Laura, Courtney and Christian; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Stanley; daughter, Doreen and brother, Leslie. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
