Beulah L. Reist

REIST, Beulah L.- Age 98, of Swartz Creek, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 13, 2005 at Swank Home.  Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, February 17, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes; Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Dr. Roy McLaughlin officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 7-9 pm Tuesday and 3-6 and 7-9 pm Wednesday.  Burial  7:00 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at Mt. Rest Cemetery in St. John, MI.  No flowers please, Mrs. Reist and her late husband always said flowers are for the living.  Those desiring may make contributions to Cornerstone Baptist Church or Genesee County Humane Society.  Mrs. Reist was born in Addison, MI on October 6, 1906.  She married Dewey I. Reist June 9, 1928 in Jackson, MI,  and he preceded her in death after 48 years of marriage on April 15, 1976.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, mowing and raking her lawn, and her family and grandchildren.  Surviving are:  daughter, June and husband Donald Moritz of Swartz Creek, her dear son-in-law, Willis C. Hardenburg of Texas; 2 grandchildren, Nancy Ann and husband Ferman Chapa of Laredo, TX, Kevin Brian and wife Mary Hardenburg of Swartz Creek; 4 great-grandchildren, Brian C. of Utah, Jason W. of Flint, Monica and Ferman, Jr. of Texas; 3 great great-grandchildren, Leah, Faylyn and Jorge.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter Marilyn Jean Hardenburg, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and her parents.
