Betty Tucker

TUCKER, Betty F. - Age 84, of Fenton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Services will be held 12PM Saturday August 3 at Skyway Memorial Park, 13686 Skyway Rd., Paradise CA. Betty was born April 22, 1934 in Sumter, SC, the daughter of the late James and Annie (Flowers) Floyd. She married Leroy Cain in 1954 and he preceded her in death in 1970. She married Everett Tucker in 1975 and he preceded her in death in 2011. She grew up in Myrtle Beach, SC, but lived most of her life in California, first in Riverside and then in the town of Paradise (Magalia). She moved to Florida in 2007 and to Fenton in 2014. Betty worked as a Dental Assistant for several years and spent many years in volunteer work for Hospice of the Ridge and Feather River Hospital. She was an active church member throughout her life. Betty was a Stephen Ministry Leader while attending Paradise United Methodist Church.

Betty loved to cook and entertain. Her home was a gathering place for family and friends. Her door was always open and she greeted everyone with a hug. Betty was an avid quilter and also enjoyed crocheting. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She touched many lives with her warm, caring nature, positive outlook and endearing faith. Her smile would light up a room.

Betty is survived by: 4 children, Pamela (Herb) Livingston of Fenton, Michigan, Steve (Debi) Tucker of California, George (Christine) Tucker of Washington State and Judy (Dan) Cole of California; 19 grandchildren, Nicholas Bolen, Paige (Joseph) Broderick, Jennifer (Stephan) McLaughlin, Ryan (LeAnna) Tucker, Jordan Tucker, Heather (Dermott) Murphy, Amber (Hank) McKibban, Ethan (Marjie) Tucker, Brian (Mirrya) Cole, Stephanie Cole, Chad (Tiffany) Smith, Lois (Ty) Yount, Connie Ellis, Paula Clippinger, Christal Clippinger, James Clippinger, Allen Clippinger, Beverly Clippinger, and Grace Caba: 21 great grandchildren; brother, Bill (LaJana) Sutton of South Carolina; sister, Yvonne (Tony) Kuzma of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.Betty was also preceded in death by; daughter, Deborah Clippinger; step daughter, Randy Smith; and sisters, Bobbi Porcelli and Ann Hamilton.
