Betty Stiff

STIFF, Betty Jane - Age 98, of Linden, passed away July 8, 2022. Betty was born August 7, 1923 in Midland Michigan. She was married to Junior Charles Stiff, who was the love of her life. They were foster parents for many years, to over 20 children. Betty loved canning, baking, cooking  and sharing her knowledge with others. She also enjoyed traveling, sewing, crocheting and going to bingo. She worked at Gerych's Greenhouse in Fenton Michigan and Beaty's Greenhouse in Hartland Michigan for many, many years. She was a lifetime member of The Order of Eastern Star in Linden #175. Her life was rewarding and a story in and of itself. She lived purposefully. Surviving are her children, Kevin J. (Pamela) Stiff and Ronald (Deneil) Bronson; many grandchildren, Rachel Priest and Keeley (David) Powell; great-grandchildren, Brayden Powell and Breia Powell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Hazel Marguerite (Edwards-Schmidt) Rose; husband, Junior Charles Stiff; daughter, Christine Stiff. Per her request there will not be a viewing or funeral service. There will be a private graveside service.

A memorial luncheon for Betty and Christine will be held at the Linden Masonic Temple  119 N. Bridge Street Linden, MI 48451 on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Friends and family,  please join us and share your memories.
