SAMPSON, Betty Marie - Age 88, of Lennon, died at home surrounded by her family on July 25, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, August 5, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Chaplain Don Bennett will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Thursday, August 4. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Swartz Creek VFW. Betty was born May 23, 1928 in Flint, the daughter of Charles Clayton and Carrie Alma (Taylor) Headrick. She is survived by her children, Merlyn Burton, Donald (Aaltje) Sampson, Cara Sampson, Letricia Sampson, George (Judy) Sampson, Tracy Sampson, Betty (Risto) Nicevski, Timothy (Theresa) Sampson, Helen (John) Lescelius; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward; son, Edward Jr.; parents; granddaughter, Carrie Lucas; brothers, Charles and Harold Headrick; sons-in-law, Orville Burton and Wayne Sheppard.
