Ryan, Betty Jane - Age 77, of Fenton, died, Friday, August 3, 2018 at her home. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, August 6 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St. Fenton, Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment in Tyrone Memory Gardens, Fenton. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton; and 10 AM until the time of mass Monday at the church. A vigil service will be held 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Betty was born August 16, 1940 in Flint the daughter of Frank J. and Regina J. (Konieczka) Urban. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Flint, and attended Mott College. She married Patrick L. Ryan on September 26, 1959 in Flint; he preceded her in death December 9, 2001. Betty was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She had worked as a Parapro for Linden Community Schools with 20 years of service. She then went to work for Sharp Funeral Homes in 2002. Betty was a loved and valued member of the Sharp Funeral Homes staff for many years. Betty loved and enjoyed her time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. "That's what it is all about!" Surviving are: four children, Patrick M. Ryan of Johns Creek GA, Pamela (Michael) Osmond of Caseville, Michael F. (Lauretta) Ryan of Clarkston, Paula T. Williams of Fenton; grandchildren, Kristi, Matthew, Nikki, Michael, Krystalle, Mitchell, Patrick, Joey, Marshael, and Steven; two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Trace; three sisters, Geraldine Cherveny of Mt. Morris, Rosalyn Larson of Davison, Marcia Collard of Fenton; brother Donald (Sharon) Urban of Fenton; several nieces and nephews.
