LEWIS, Betty J.  Age 89, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, August 13, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Memorial Park, Cranberry, PA. Those desiring may make contributions to the Flint Deaf Senior Citizens or the Flint Association of the Deaf. Betty was born January 10, 1917 in Erie, PA, the daughter of Harry S. and Lillian M. (Lueth) Miller. She was married to Robert X. Lewis and he preceded her in death in November of 1962. She had worked for Marx Toys.  She was a member of the Flint Association of the Deaf Ladies Auxiliary and the Flint Deaf Senior Citizens. She loved to crochet and loved her companions, her dogs, Shatty and Lotty. Surviving are: son Harrison L. Lewis and wife Darlene of Swartz Creek; six grandchildren Robert Lewis II, Raina Barker, Micki Lewis, Darla Lennox, Alan Hocker, and Kim Van Zuilen; twelve great-grandchildren; several cousins; and life-long friend Carol Belden; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son Robert David Lewis in 1980. The family extends their thanks to the Neurologists at Genesys Health Park, the staff of McLaren Hospice, and the staff at Willowbrook Manor.
