Betty was born in Windom, Minnesota on September 22, 1935, to the late Joseph & Florence Larson and was baptized on October 20, 1935. She met the love of her life, William Kuehl, when she was only 15 years old. William was deployed during the Korean War and upon his return to the States they were married. While Betty waited for his return she finished school and worked at the local soda shop. William and Betty moved from Minnesota and planted their roots in Michigan where they raised their family and together, they would start their own business, Kuehl Transport, which successfully operated for over 30 years. Before the family business was started, she gained experience from Transit Homes and National Trailer Convoy. In the early years they enjoyed trips to the movies and rabbit hunting. Betty kept beautiful flower beds and vegetable gardens for most of her life and loved mowing their many acres on her zero-turn lawn mower. Her family will forever remember the handmade costumes for her children, her tasty jams & jellies, canned vegetables & salsa, and incredible baked goods. Betty was a lifelong member of the Lamb of God Lutheran Church of Flint, where she volunteered with the Quilting Club. In recent years, she took up bird watching and adored her cat, Kessa. Above all, Betty loved her family dearly and especially cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, William Kuehl; her children, Joseph (Morgan) Kuehl of Swartz Creek, Bill (Alesha) Kuehl of Swartz Creek and Aimee (Dale) Noye of Gaines; her two precious grandchildren, Krista Kuehl, and Elizabeth Kuehl. Step grandchildren, Nicole, Sara, Ginny, and Jake and, great grandchildren, Jailyn, Brooklyn, Harley, Hunter & Leo. Betty is further survived by her twin sister, Barbara Hoppe; dearly loved sisters-in-law, Barb Hunter; Phyllis Kuehl; and close family friend "son", Mark Cassidy and many beloved nieces, nephews and so many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Alfred & Ina Kuehl.
