Betty "Joanne" Sheick

SHEICK, Betty "Joanne" - Age 83, of Alto formerly of Flint Township, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Joanne's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 PM and Thursday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. 

Joanne was born December 12, 1940 in Flint, the daughter of Harold L. and Alva S. (Stacey) Rush. She was a 1959 graduate of Utley High School. She married Robert Earl "Bob" Sheick April 28, 1962 in Flint and he preceded her in death October 31, 2020. She was former member of West Flint Nazarene Church and West Flint Church of God. She was a volunteer Poll worker for Flint Township. She enjoyed crafting, doing ceramics, camping and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. 

Surviving are: her daughter, Tracy (Brian) Coates of Alto; son, Michael (Christina) Sheick of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Brandy, Amanda (Shane), Lyndsi (Jacob), Brandon (Rebecca) Trenton (Alexis), and A.J.; great grandchildren, Sawyer Lynn, Kolton, Mariah, Elysia, Adalyn, Nicklas, Lucy, Kade and Erin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Alva Rush; and sisters, Pamela Garty and Bobbette Collison. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
