Betty Gene HAWCROFT

HAWCROFT, Betty Gene - Age 93, of Fenton, died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday and 12 noon until the time of service Thursday. Betty was born August 14, 1917 and raised in Owosso, the daughter of Hamilton and Sarah (Gaines) Bartlett. She married Robert G. Hawcroft on January 17, 1937; he preceded her in death on February 9, 1999. Mrs. Hawcroft was a longtime and active member of St. Jude's Episcopal Church. He was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed sewing and knitting. Surviving are: son, David and wife Ginger of Fenton; grandchildren, Robert and wife Monica of Swartz Creek, Bart and wife Cynthia of Jefferson City, MO, Brad and wife Venita of Aiken, SC; nine great-grandchildren.
