Betty Norine (Bryant) Hamby - age 88, originally from Bradford, Arkansas, passed away on August 7, 2024, after a courageous health battle. Betty was born January 2, 1936 and grew up on a farm in Bradford Arkansas, learning the value of hard work at an early age with her many brothers and sisters. Betty married her high school sweetheart, JD Hamby, on October 18, 1952, and together they soon left Arkansas to find work in Flint, MI. J.D. and Betty raised all three of their children, Cynthia (husband Craig Hering), Sharon (husband Thomas Rose), and Mark, in Michigan. Following JD’s retirement, they returned home to Arkansas in 1996 to live the rest of their lives together. Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker. Her small physical stature never prevented her from being a forceful figure in the wonderful job she did in raising her family. Thanks to this, both her daughters are wonderful mothers, grandmothers, and homemakers as well. Betty was loved by all those that knew her. She had a beautiful smile and the softest hands. Betty loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of which brought her overwhelming joy. Betty will be missed, but those that knew her will always remember her beauty, inside and out. The family would like to sincerely thank all of the staff and professionals at Provisions and Wellbridge of Fenton, for their loving care during her health decline. Betty is survived by her 2 daughters, Cynthia (Craig) Hering of Fenton, MI., Sharon (Thomas) Rose, of Conway, AR; daughter-in-law, Sherry Swink; 8 grandchildren, Josh (Lisa) Birmingham, Chad (Brittany) Rose, Adam (Whitney) Rose, Kylee (Matthew) Johnston, Dan (Katelynd) Hamby, Drew (Dan Young) Hamby, Alex Hamilton, Erica Hering; 13 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Brandon, Malerie, Raygan, Harry, Anna Grace, Addison, Grace, Anabelle, Mattie, Keller, Reese, Henry; brother, Bill Bryant (Jean); 3 sisters, Brenda (Tony) Osborn, Norma Knight, Dorothy Whitener (Freddie); many nieces and nephews, and dear friends Nancy Kinney, Betty Stinger, and Cathy Parks. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband JD; son Mark; 2 sisters, Opal Garfi and husband Vic, Altha "Toot" Hickmon and husband Hoyt; 4 brothers, Buster (Mable) Bryant, Gene Bryant, and a baby brother, Bobby; cousins and many friends.
