Betty Jane ERWAY

ERWAY, Betty Jane, age 89, of Mt. Morris, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Country Care Assisted Living, Montrose. Private Services have been held. Betty was born January 26, 1922 in Bay City, Michigan the daughter of the late Raymond and Clare (Bovie) Itter. She was blessed to have two loves in life. She married Charles Williams and later, Gerald Erway who both preceded her in death. In her younger years, Betty was employed as a clerk in retail sales by Sears, Mill End Stores and Kresge Stores. She was a wonderful seamstress, and is remembered for her beautiful Christmas tree decorating. Surviving are her step-daughter, Billie Jean (Gerald) Sherman; grandchildren, Cheryl (Steve) Smith, Alan Sinn, Richard Sinn, Dennis Sinn, Donald Glumm, Lauri Glumm, Christine (Jeffrey) Nichols, Colleen Sherman; and many great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Mosher, Carol Coulture, Margaret Itter, Mary Blumlo; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her 3 daughters, Barbara Hopkins, Carol Williams, Jane Glumm. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp.
