Cook, Betty Lou - Age 89, of Swartz Creek, died February 27, 2025. Funeral services will be held 6 PM Friday, March 7, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton. (The funeral service may be viewed by live stream from a link at Mrs. Cook's page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.) Visitation will be held 4 PM Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the South Mundy Methodist Church. Betty was born February 17, 1936 in Flint, the daughter of Lyle Donald Parker and Doris M. (Schowalter) Parker. Betty was a graduate of Fenton High School. She married Wilbur "Bill" Royal Cook March 31, 1953 in Paragould, Arkansas; he preceded her in death on April 27, 2015. She was employed with Lake Fenton Schools as a cook for 17 years before retiring in 1984. Betty was a member of South Mundy Methodist Church and also a past member of Lake Fenton Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Konnie Lee Rodenbo of Linden, Nancy Ann Carlson of Linden, Donald Allen (Kelly) Cook also of Linden; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Della (Robert) Poirier of Linden; sister-in-law, Pat Parker of Phoenix, AZ. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband;; sister, Ruth Sweers; son-in-law, Ken Rodenbo; brother, Lynus "Pete" Parker.
