Betty J. BURNS

BURNS, Betty J. (Kitchen) - Age 79, of Fenton, died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, January 11, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM until time of service. Betty was born September 17, 1929 in Flint the daughter of Mac and Fern Kitchen. She was a 1948 graduate of Flint Northern High School. She married William C. Burns September 23, 1950 in Flint. Betty was employed as a sales clerk at various businesses before retiring. Surviving are: husband, William C. Burns; 2 sons, Charles Burns of Fenton and William M. and wife Sandra Burns of North Carolina; daughter, Joyce Tolliver of Florida; grandchildren, Carissa of Tennessee, Laura (Nick) Murphy of Clio, Michael Vandorne of Florida, Randy Tolliver of Flint, Rebecca Burns of Missouri, Benjamin Burns of Missouri; 7 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Albert (Renee) Kitchen and Dennis Kitchen all of Arizona, Donald (Nelda) Kitchen of Minnesota; 3 sisters, Eleanor (Chuck) Mauer of Florida, Marjorie Kitchen of Clio and Dora Holden of Flint; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mac and Fern Kitchen; 2 sisters, Jean and Marilou.
