Betty Jane Ashmun

Ashmun, Betty Jane - Age 77, of Mount Pleasant, passed away August 9, 2024. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Pastor Jim Garfield officiating.  The funeral service may be viewed by livestream from a link at Mrs. Ashmun's page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Pastor Jim Garfield will officiate. Interment at Pinconning Cemetery, Pinconning, Michigan. Visitation will be 4-9 PM Monday August 12; and 10 AM until the service at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 13. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. 

Betty was born June 14, 1947 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of William Otis Ashmun and Mary Jane (Davis) Ashmun. Betty enjoyed gambling, bingo and Pow Wows. She was a huge Elvis fan. Her greatest joy was being a grandma and great-grandma. She was a proud member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan. 

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Lamondo) Buggs, Candice Ashmun (Richard) Baker, Kristen Schaefer; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey Wade, Shawn Bliss, Britney Garfield, Jimmy Garfield, Niki (Dustin) Oldenburg, Cachet Ashmun, Sachet Ashmun, Isabella Ashmun Buggs, Tyler Baker; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Woolard; special niece, Angie (Todd) Todson; special nephew, William "Billy" (Doreen) Ashmun; and special cousin Robin Allen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; brother, William "Bill" Ashmun; brother-in-law, John Woolard and special friend George
