GROTH, Bette Jean- Age 95, of Fenton, died Saturday March 6, 2021. A graveside services will be held 2:30PM Tuesday, March 16, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Chaplain Hank Messing officiating. Visitation will be held 12PM-2PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Bette was born March 19, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Henry and Pearl (Johnson) Brandt. She married Robert Paul Groth on October 9, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1960. Bette retired from Bergen and Brunswick Drug Company for 20 plus years. Bette enjoyed keeping a watchful eye on her neighborhood, knitting and she loved to read. Surviving are: sons, Robert (Charlene) Groth of Fenton, Rick (Jeanette) Groth of Detroit, daughter, Susan Pasztor of Fenton; grandchildren, Dan, Michael, Paul, Brett, Katelyn, Kellie, Emily; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Pearl Brandt; brothers, Duane and Gerald Brandt and sister Erna Valentine. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
