Bethel L. Sayen

May 6, 1925 — January 19, 2008

SAYEN,  Bethel L., age 82  of Flint,died Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Avalon Hospice.  Mrs. Sayen was born in Flint on May 6, 1925 and has been a lifelong resident of the area.  She married  Lawrence Sayen on February 22, 1945 in Flint. Mrs. Sayen was a bookkeeper for many years at the family business, Genesee Cartage Co. She enjoyed singing, traveling and anything about nutrician and health including walking.Mrs. Sayen was a lifelong member of the West Flint Church of the Nazarene.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Surviving are her husband Lawrence; her 3 daughters;  Carol (Donald) Jacot of Millington, Donna (Rodney) McKee of Westminster, Colorado and Andrea (Richard) Patridge of Lapeer.  Also surviving are 3 grandchildren;  Tamara Watson, David McAra, Justin Patridge along with 2 great-grandchildren.  Further survivors include 3 brothers;  Dale (Marion) Case of Flint, Perle Case of Fenton, Merle Case of Flint and a sister, Ruby Costellos of Mesa, Arizona.  Mrs. Sayen was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Nicholas Benish and 5 brothers and a sister.  Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Rd. Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd.  Dr. David W. Bowser officiating with burial to follow in Bendle Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday.  Visitation on Wednesday will be from 12 noon to service time.
