Bessie Watts

WATTS, Bessie Marie - Age 96, died October 6, 2014. She wanted everyone to know that " Ma kicked the bucket today". Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday October 10 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Kathy Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Thursday and 10 AM until time of service on Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to Lennon United Methodist Church. Bessie was born January 29, 1918 in Kokomo IN, the daughter of Andrew and Mattie (Harris) Turley. She attended Flint Northern High School. She married Donald Watts on March 4, 1961. She worked as a Senior Data Processor for General Motors retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Lennon United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife and mother and dedicated her life to her family. She is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Carol (Thomas) Hemingway, Marilyn Horton, Betty (William) Hundley, Mary Sue Martin, Carl (Bonnie) Horton, Donald Jr. (Karen) Watts; daughter in law, Dorothy Horton; many grandchildren and great - grandchildren.ã�½,�½�½,�½ She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, John Thomas Horton, Sr.; two sons, John Horton, Robert Horton; brother, Robert Turley; sister in law, Elbertha Turley.
