DELANOY, Bessie May  Age 94, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at East Lansing Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. David Ray officiating. Interment will be held at Pierce Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday and 11 AM until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to South Mundy United Methodist Church. Mrs. Delanoy was born October 31, 1910 in Mundy Township, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Connolly) Johnson. She married Charles James Delanoy on June 8, 1946 in Mundy Township and he preceded her in death on August 6, 2002. Mrs. Delanoy was an organist and piano teacher for many years. She played at several area churches and Sharp Funeral Homes for 20 years. Bessie was a former member of St. Cecilia Music Society, a 53 year member of the Flint Federation of Musicians Union, a member of the Pioneer Association of Mundy Township and the South Mundy United Methodist Church where she had played piano on and off since she was 8 years old. Surviving are: daughter, Susan and husband, Dennis Whiteherse of Okemos; son, Thomas Delanoy and wife, Cindy of Shelby Township; five grandchildren, Kayla Delanoy, Megan Dennison, Jeff Teer, Julie Teer, Tara Delanoy; sister, Marge Kelley of Fenton; several nieces and nephews.
