Bertram C. "Bert" Culpepper, Jr.

Culpepper Jr., Bertram C. "Bert", age 70, of Fenton, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be held 3:30PM Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Military Honors will be performed under the auspices of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243. Visitation will be held 12:30PM Thursday until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to McLaren Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center. Bert was born June 25, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Bertram C. and Geraldine A. (Riley) Culpepper Sr. He was a veteran of the military serving in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy. Bert was the founder of Expanded Plastics and operated the business for many years in the Fenton area. He was Chairman of Fenton Township Planning Commission, Chairman of Fenton Board of Appeals, Founding President and active member of Fenton Service Club and a member of Spring Meadows Country Club. Surviving are his wife, Lana of Linden; children, Patrick Culpepper and wife Robin of Canton, Ohio, Christine Segers and husband Dave of Canton, Ohio, Kimberly Seer and Cindy of Southfield, Joseph Janik, Jr. of Linden, Kevin Janik and wife Jeri of Linden, Kimberly Chandler and husband Jeff of Fenton; 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Jason, Melinda, Jeffrey, Alicia, Elizabeth, Daniel; great- grandchild, Tate; sister, Joyce Kmetz of Painesville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
