Bertha Brown

BROWN, Bertha June- Age 82, of Flint, died Thursday, April 5, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday April 7, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Jean Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 2PM - 8PM Friday and 9AM until time of service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Lung Association. Bertha was born January 16, 1936 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Frederick A. and Marguerite (King) Barnikow. She married Frederick Charles Brown on November 12, 1958 in Flint and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2012. Bertha enjoyed fishing, bird watching, gardening and listening to country music. Surviving are: son, Gary (Donna) Brown of Lapeer; daughter, Cheryl (Troy McKerchie) Doyle of Clio; grandsons, Ryan Doyle, Eric Doyle; granddaughter, Ashlie Brown; step-grandchildren; Danielle Smith, Alexandria Schwiemann, Joshua (Sonya) McKerchie, Lindsey McKerchie; great granddaughter Lilly and great grandson, Lincoln. She was also survived by her sister, Norma McMann and brother-in-law, Ron (Marie) Scharr. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Dixie Fairbank,Louise Barnikow,Shirley Norris,Deanna Schaar and brothers, Frederick, John Stephen Barnikow.
