GUTIERREZ, Berta C. -- Age 76, of Burton, died August 30, 2010 at her home. Funeral Services will be 1 PM Thursday, September 2 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, Fr. Paul Schwermer officiating. Interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 4-9 PM Wednesday. Berta was born October 8, 1933 in Cuba the daughter of Roberto and Edelmira Lucia (Machin) Suarez. She married Angel C. Gutierrez in 1966 in Cuba. Mrs. Gutierrez retired from A.C. Spark Plug with many years of service. Her nickname was "Mama Bear" and she had graciously donated over 200 stuffed animals to various childrens charities. Surviving are: husband Angel C. Gutierrez of Burton; daughter Bertha C. Stephens of Flint; and several cousins living in the United States. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Robert Suarez.
