Bernice E. Turrill

Turrill, Bernice E. - Age 91, of Grand Blanc, passed away peacefully in her Grand Blanc home with her daughter near her side on December 1, 2023.  A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. 

Bernice was born in Newport, TN to Sam and Sarah (Barnes) Campbell on April 10, 1932. 

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Karen Boyd; grandchildren, Wesley, Grace, and Lela; and great-grandchildren, Brandon and Austin Griffin, Summers Kirkland. She was preceded in death by husband, James Turrill;  her parents; 2 sons, Dennis Kirkland and Tommy Vanadore; daughter,  Sandy Kirkland; and two grandsons: Danny Griffin and Franky Kirkland. 

Bernice had a full happy life. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening, canning, and Blue grass music. She was very quick witted and had a great sense  of humor.  She was a pure firecracker and she was dearly loved. She had a photogenic memory that she awed us with. Bernice enjoyed singing at the Grand Blanc Moose lodge with the  Blue grass  pickers. She will be missed. Thank you Bernice for the memories you gave each of us.
