Bernice Thronson

THRONSON, Bernice Evangeline - Age 87, of Reed City formerly of Flint, died Saturday, September 25, 2021.  Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.  Pastor Brad Foster officiating.  Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc.  Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8 PM. Bernice was born March 5, 1934 in Trail, Minnesota, the daughter of Herman and Marie (Hillestad) Peterson.  She attended Oklee Community School in Oklee, MN.  She had resided in Reed City for the past year coming from Flint.  She loved to listen to country music.  Bernice's family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff's at Hospice of Michigan and McLaren Home Care.

Surviving are: her children, Randy Thronson of Burton, Gary Thronson of Burton, Ricky (Kelly) Thronson of Reed City, Wendy Thronson of Davison, Kathy Morrison of Flint, Jody (Leila) Thronson of California, and Shaun (Shawn) Thronson of Perry;  16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; sister, Susan James of Minnesota; brothers, Ralph (Kathy) Peterson of Washington State and Leroy (Beverly) Peterson of Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, DuWayne Thronson; brothers, Oscar and Orville Peterson; and sisters, Niome Sweno and Evelyn Bergeson.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
